Trekking in Nepal was, is and always will be one of the most popular adventurous activities to experience. And since this devastating earthquake struck, trekking in Nepal activity has been near to negligible. Unfortunately, many local people including foreigners have lost their lives and still many of them are missing around Langtang trekking region. The lost lives cannot be revived but what we can do is help and support the earthquake victims by going for trekking in Nepal upcoming autumn season.
Tourism officials and Trekking companies in Nepal believes that we will rise again bringing the trekking activity back into life for positive change in society. Trekking activity in Nepal seems to be jiggled by an earthquake but it will surely stand still and welcome large flux of tourists. Embarking for community trekking, and engaging in voluntary works like sponsoring a child, help rebuild a school and help rebuild the whole community. Langtang region being the heavily affected areas, tremors were felt and damages were done at Everest region also. However, with constant rebuilding and recovering efforts being carried out by Nepal government, international agencies and locals, trekking activity along whole tourism sector is anticipated slowly to recover.
Tourism field and trekking in Nepal is one of the major sector contributing more than 10% to national GDP. Therefore, with combined efforts of locals and foreign nationals, pray and help Nepal for better future.
